Perspective of a Doctor

Perspective of a Scientist

Perspective of a Traveller

Perspective of a Farmer

Perspective of a Flight Attendant

Perspective of Aviation

Students will be creating a graphic narrative with a team to demonstrate a certain point of view in assessing the benefits and cost of aviation technology for society and the environment while taking different social and economic perspectives into account.
As a group, they will decide on the perspective they would like to research:
Farmer (e.g., crop dusting, agriculture, farming)
Traveller (e.g., health, luggage weight)
Scientist (e.g., biofeul research)
Airline Worker (e.g., health, work environment)
Doctor (e.g., transplants, disease introduced into an area)
Homeowner (e.g., noise pollution, property)
Developing Country (e.g., water shortage, land use)
Environmentalist (e.g., climate change, habitats)
Community (e.g., carbon foot print, food travelling long distances)
Students are to use the books and videos at the book centre in the class for a variety of research resources; as well as refer to a series of websites listed on the blog.
In your group of four you will create the jigsaw activity as each of you will take on one section to research and specialize in. Then share your findings with the rest of your group to create a storyboard which includes facts to support your dialogue.
Your storyboard can include images which are drawn and then scanned, digital photographs of yourselves role playing, and toys such as dolls or stuffed animals. Once your storyboard is completed, you are to organize your final project onto Comic Life. The use of voice recordings or music is optional.
